YBMK is a small marketing business based in York Beach, Maine. This policy explains what information ybmkmarketing.com collects, why, and what you can do about it. We keep it short because we don't collect much.

Information you give us

When you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address, business name, and message. The form is processed by Formspree, which delivers your message to our inbox.

We use this information only to reply to you and, if we end up working together, to communicate about that work. We don't sell it, rent it, or add you to a mailing list without asking.

If you email or call us directly, we'll have whatever you choose to share in that conversation.

Information collected automatically

Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use this site: which pages are visited, how long people stay, what device and general location (city or region) they're browsing from, and which website or search brought them here. Google Analytics uses cookies to do this. We also record when someone submits the contact form or clicks our phone number or email address, so we can tell which pages and sources lead to inquiries. We don't use Google Analytics to identify you personally.

Google Ads. If we run ads on Google, we use Google's conversion tracking to see whether an ad click led to an inquiry. This also relies on cookies.

Google processes this data under its own policies. You can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services, opt out of Google Analytics across all websites with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, and manage ad personalization in My Ad Center.

Hosting. This site is hosted by Vercel. Like most web hosts, Vercel keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses and browser type, to deliver the site and keep it secure.

Cookies

The cookies on this site come from Google Analytics and, when ads are running, Google Ads. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site will still work normally.

Content from other websites

Some blog posts display images hosted on other websites. When your browser loads those images, those sites receive standard technical information such as your IP address. This site also links to our Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn pages and to other websites. Once you follow a link off this site, that site's own privacy policy applies.

How long we keep information

We keep contact form messages and email conversations for as long as they're useful for responding to you or for an ongoing working relationship. Analytics data is kept according to Google Analytics' data retention settings.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we have from you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email yorkbeachmk@gmail.com and we'll take care of it.

Children

This site is meant for business owners and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the site handles information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
