Happy Halloween! Some Holiday Strategy For Your Business
Halloween-and holidays in general-are a prime time for every business to take advantage of. Employing some holiday strategy and putting resources into it will absolutely yield results-I guarantee it. The consumer market shifts slightly, so it's extremely important to pay attention to trends, because each holiday brings slightly different fads every year. People's needs, moods, and purchasing processes change which mean your business's should as well. In this post, we're going to be breaking down 3 effective strategies that your business can still employ with halloween right around the corner.
Holiday Strategy #1 - Throw A Halloween Party
This is a surefire way to bring in customers, friends and anyone else who might be interested in your business. It doesn't have to break the bank, either. Hold it at your business's headquarters or a venue-not your home. People will feel more comfortable going to a public place, and if you have food or refreshments (which I recommend) there's no reason for them to not show up! It will help with engagement if you give people something to look forward to as well, like a costume contest or a raffle-and if you're feeling generous, giving away some t-shirts or other apparel with your business's logo definitely wouldn't hurt.
Holiday Strategy #2 - Incorporate Halloween Into Your Business
This one may seem intuitive, but it's important for all business owners to hear. Incorporating Halloween into my business is the reason why you're reading this article! If you're struggling, think about what I just did; simply take a step back, and ask yourself "what effect does Halloween have on my business?" Even if you have a service business-like YBMK-this is still important because you'll be giving your audience something to connect with you over. For example, if you have an excavation company, have your workers dress up and post videos on social media demonstrating your acceptance and celebration of the holiday. It's basic, but totally worth doing.
Holiday Strategy #3 - Decorate Your Headquarters - And Send An Email About It
This one might require some effort, but I strongly suggest doing it. It gives a justifiable, simple excuse to send someone an email and get them to come check out your business. Hype it up-but make sure it's worth it so people don't come in dissapointed. Halloween decorations aren't that expensive-some cobwebs, lights and pumpkins would absolutely be adequate. Especially for storefronts, this is totally necessary-not to mention even if your business doesn't cater to kids, they'll want to it out if it looks cool which means their parents will as well.
